McIlroy, Fowler tweet critiques of Thomas' flying club

Justin Thomas (ala Tiger Woods and Hideki Matsuyama) has been known to let go of a club after a poor shot. On Sunday at the WGC-Mexico Championship, Thomas’ drive on the par-5 11th went way left and he immediately let go of his driver. The club bounced on the ground near the gallery and Thomas immediately went over to apologize.

Thomas was criticized by announcer Gary Koch and from folks in the Twitterverse. Thomas apologized with a tweet after finishing T-5, but then he got some light-hearted jabs from his fellow competitors Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler before responding with a zinger of his own.
