Dufner, Perez in line for WGC-Match Play spots

PALM HARBOR, Fla. – Sunday’s final round of the Valspar Championship was the final event to qualify for the upcoming WGC-Match Play.

At least four players are skipping the event in Austin, including this week’s winner, Adam Hadwin, who is getting married on the third day of pool play.

According to world-ranking projections, the Nos. 65-68 spots will go to, in order, Jason Dufner, K.T. Kim, Joost Luiten and Pat Perez.

If another player drops out – Rickie Fowler was on the fence – then Si Woo Kim, Tony Finau (who finished fifth in Tampa), Charley Hoffman and Wes Bryan are next in line. Henrik Stenson, Adam Scott and Justin Rose have already said they will not compete at Austin Country Club.
